The lightweight Brunton 4090 collapsible Jacob's Staff is used by geologists to measure rock layers in the field. Brunton tools are compatible to be attached to the top of the staff, such as the Brunton OmniSlope. Brunton transits can be added with the Ball & Socket Transit Mount. The staff can also be used as a monopod (with standard threads) for cameras or binoculars/monocular. In addition, it can be used as a trekking pole as well.
